History of the local YFC/Hope Embraced ministry

Hope Embraced was formerly Western Nebraska (or North Platte Area) Youth for Christ. YFC existed in the North Platte Area since the rally days of the Youth for Christ movement in the 1940’s. In 2016 the local board began to wrestle with what was best for impacting youth with the gospel of Jesus Christ, providing hope for the future and positive change in North Platte and surrounding communities. In March of 2018 the board of directors announced at our annual dinner that we were withdrawing from YFC/USA and forming a local independent outreach. Hope Embraced is that outreach. Now, in 2024 Hope Embraced is being transformed and renewed into a ministry of Hope that will nourish many ages in the community with the love of Jesus in approachable ways.
