What We Do

Hope Embraced exists to present Jesus as the source of hope and life-change in the North Platte area and in developing young people who positively give back to their communities.

We work with young moms and dads up to age 25 to learn parenting and life skills, while providing support & encouragement through mentors and peers. We meet with middle school and high school students in both small and large group meetings to discuss the varied issues facing teenagers today from a biblical worldview. With the completion of bathrooms at our building (100 N. Bicentennial, North Platte, NE) we hope to begin an after school program by fall 2024 for the school that uses our lot as a bus stop and other kids needing a place for an hour or so after school. We also recognize that being a parent of teenagers is difficult and plans are in the works for monthly support meetings.

Our Ministries

Club hope High school meetings

Our high school group meets Monday nights at 7:07 at the Hope Embraced ministry center (100 N. Bicentennial). We delve into topics relevant to students in grades 9-12, and encourage questions and open discussions about how God fits into our lives today. Currently we are meeting with students by appointment or in small groups. Please contact Joe @ 308-530-1273 to make an appointment or to answer questions.

Young Parents

For parents under the age of 25. The Young Parents Program believes every young parent needs to know they were created with value and worth. Being a parent can be overwhelming at times. Have you ever wondered, "Okay, I'm a parent...now what?" Young Parents is a place that can provide you with peer support, friendship, and parenting education. Young Parents meets by appointment. Contact Susan @ 308-539-0763.

after school program coming soon!

The Hope Embraced ministry center is home to the Maxwell public schools bus stop. Our hope was to start an after school program in the 2019-2020 school year, due to Covid-19 and the many changes this brought to the way ministry is done, this was put on hold. We are currently recruiting volunteers and looking for a director for the program. Providing a safe place for students to play, exercise, and have times of educational enrichment while waiting for their rides is important to us.

Mor2Life Bible Study

Mor2Life bible study for women 18-25 years old designed to address selected topics dealt with daily and challenge young women to view them through a Christ-centered perspective. The series also delves into what the Bible says and then challenges participants to implement new discoveries into their lives. If you know someone who would be interested in attending or are mentoring a young woman and would like to bring them and attend, please contact Susan @ 308-539-0763. Schedule varies.

Topics covered are: work, conflict, sexuality, communication, forgiveness, and relationships.
